The Alpha Course is proving very popular in Quainton Church.
The first time we ran the course was during lockdown with 8 people on Zoom. The second time, in the Autumn of 2021, we had 18 people meeting in the Cafe at the George pub. The third time in the Spring of 2022 we had 23 people meeting in the hospitality area of the church because we didn’t have enough space at the George. In the autumn of 2022 we had 33 people meeting every Thursday evening for our short 6 weeks course.
Many found itmoving, meaningful, informative and enlightening. Alpha is a refresher course for those who have been Christians for years and is also a great way on introducing people to the Christian faith for the first time. We have dinner together with wine and soft drinks around table of 6 to 8 people. We then watch a 20 minute video presented by TV Presenter, Gemma Hunt, Toby Flint, a Curate at Holy Trinity Brompton, and Nicky Gumbel, now the driving force behind this world wide movement.
This is a place where friendships are made and relationships are deepened.
